Phil Collins Sells Miami Beach Mansion for $40 Million

Phil Collins has sold his Miami Beach mansion for 40 million, according to public records. The 11,039 square foot single-family home on N Bay Road was sold by Collins with the help of brokers Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber of Coldwell Banker. The property was originally listed for 45 million in 2016, but was taken off the market in 2019 and relisted for $40 million in 2020. The sale closed on December 23, 2020.

The mansion, which sits on a 1.2-acre lot, features seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a separate guesthouse. The property also includes a pool, tennis court, and dock with 100 feet of water frontage. The home was built in 1929 and underwent a major renovation in the 2000s.

Collins purchased the property in 2015 for 33 million from Jennifer Lopez, who had bought it in 2005 for 13.9 million. The sale marks one of the highest-priced residential transactions in Miami Beach history.

Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber of Coldwell Banker represented both the buyer and the seller in the transaction. The identity of the buyer has not been disclosed.

The sale of the Collins mansion is a sign of the strength of the luxury real estate market in Miami Beach, which has seen a surge in demand from high-net-worth individuals seeking refuge from the pandemic in warm-weather destinations. The sale also underscores the importance of having experienced brokers who can navigate complex transactions and negotiate favorable terms for their clients.
